David is an accomplished speaker and business leader. Speaking to audiences from 1200 to 25, he has the ability to get information across in an easy open manner with humour and interest in often otherwise dry subjects.He is the master of the ‘graveyard slot’ waking audiences up with his compelling and controversial opinions.
David has been on the board of 3 start-ups, building the first to over 100 motivated staff resulting in a revenue stream of more than £25M, assisting another to a trade sale exit and another to an IPO. He has advised on trade acquisitions including a publically quoted business. He has acted as business guru and non-exec director and worked with venture capital and private equity firms.
Before co-founding MMP, David was Director of the London subsidiary of an international Tax firm, prior to which he was on the board of a specialist R&D tax recovery business; bringing skills in both technology and tax aspects of making R&D claims. David has advised some of the UKs largest international companies and creative industry companies in maximising technology tax incentive benefits.
Prior to this, David spent 14 years working for large American corporates, in M&A, responsible for the integration of 17 acquisitions.
David holds a Masters in Business Administration, from Leicester University majoring in Corporate Finance, a Degree in Management Studies from Leicester University majoring in Finance and a Higher National Diploma in Communications Electronics from Middlesex University.
Published in both trade magazines and broad sheet newspapers, he has spoken on subjects including, supply chain integration, tax claims for technology businesses, desktop management and financial return on investment modelling.
