Having worked for a number of global IT companies, David joined Epson in 2013 to head the Business Systems division in the UK. This included the ColorWorks range of label printers which was barely launched at that time. Five years later it is a significant and fast growing business, helping customers across a wide range of market sectors drive business efficiency by adopting an on-demand model and bringing full colour label production in-house.

Synopsis: The use of colour labelling is being driven by legislation in many sectors including, pharmaceuticals, hazardous chemicals, and food production. To date this has been a two-step printing process and frequently means tying up capital in stocks of labels. Business efficiency and agility can be improved by printing full colour in one pass on-demand and reducing the dependency on third-party suppliers. This presentation will explain and cite examples of how businesses are benefitting from this new disruptive technology.
